Simply Cryo
About Our Services
Whilst Cryotherapy provides the patient with a rush of oxygenated blood, it will also stimulate and enhance the body’s natural responses to colder temperatures. The treatment will:
- Reduce muscle spasticity, oedema (swelling), inflammation and muscle tension
- Constrict your blood vessels, to reduce bleeding
- Reduce your metabolic rate, allowing for a quicker recovery from the injury
- Restore movement and function
- Promote healing
This non-invasive, pain-free procedure is perfect for people who are seeking to prevent injury or illness. Not only will cryotherapy promote faster muscle recovery from injury, but you will also develop stronger muscular resistance to fatigue, and enhance the muscles’ ability to regenerate.
Try it what do you have to lose? Yet everything to gain!

Cryotherapy
Cryotherapy is considered an excellent form of physical therapy. It’s a treatment that is widely and routinely applied in sports medicine for the treatment of both acute and chronic soft tissue injuries in athletes, as well as in the treatment of illnesses and disabilities.
Cryotherapy is another way of saying ‘cold therapy’. People have been using ice packs and cold compresses to combat pain for many years. This is why experts believe that Cryotherapy has enormous potential as a form of pain relief.
Exposure to extremely cold temperatures slows and reduces the transmission of nerve signals reaching your brain, meaning you’re likely to experience less pain. Not only this, but Cryotherapy can diminish pain intensity and frequency since it stimulates blood and lymph circulation.
What’s more, this proven, natural pain relief can last for up to several hours, days, or even weeks after the treatment, allowing the treated area to rapidly gain strength and flexibility, as well as enhancing your healing and promoting increased movement.
This non-invasive, pain-free procedure is perfect for people who are seeking to prevent injury or illness. Not only will cryotherapy promote faster muscle recovery from injury, but you will also develop stronger muscular resistance to fatigue and enhance the muscles’ ability to regenerate.
The benefits of Cryotherapy are:
- Reduce muscle elasticity, swelling, inflammation and muscle tension.
- Constrict your blood vessels to reduce swelling.
- Reduce metabolic rate, allowing for quicker recover from an injury.
- Restore movement and function.
- Promote healing.
Sports Massage
I have been a sports therapist for 20 yrs and have a thoroughly understanding of sports massage, and the assessment, treatment of sports injuries.
During the sports massage, I utilise a G5 device. This state-of-the-art technology allows me to become even more effective, particularly when performing deep tissue massages or percussion routines.
Not only will the massage effectively manipulate soft tissue to produce the desired effects on the nervous and muscular systems, but we can also enhance local and general circulation of the blood and lymphatic fluids.
The G5 Massage system is an incredibly powerful tool, which is particularly effective when used for the back, shoulders, thighs, hips, buttocks and stomach.
The benefits of my sports massage utilising the G5 Theragun are –
- Soft tissue injuries: maintains mobility, increases flexibility and reducing scarring
- Muscle spasms: relaxes your muscles for easier manipulation.
- Pressure sores: Increases circulation which reduces arterial degeneration.
- Reduces oedema: Increases circulation and heat, which mobilises oedema fluids and restores mobility.
- Increased circulation: Increases blood flow, which provides nutrient-rich, oxygenated blood to localised areas.
- Lymphatic Drainage: Provides detoxification of lymphatic systems and speeds recovery.
- Trigger Point Therapy: Relieves tension build-up or muscle contractions that can cause pain.
- Continuous Passive Motion: Higher frequency vibrations provide a pain-relieving effect.
Compression Therapy
Recovery pump uses compression to pump more blood around the body therefore aiding recovery. It works to boost the body’s ability to flush waste from its cells, waste that contributes to muscle damage and soreness after a hard training session. The body does this naturally on its own, but muscular contractions are necessary for this process to occur.
The recovery pump is backed by science the benefits are –
- Reduce delayed onset of muscle soreness (DOMS).
- Lower heart rate and blood pressure.
- Increases circulation.
- Decreases swelling and stiffness.
Research has shown it can reduce muscle fatigue by up to 45% with as little as 20 minutes of use.
If you want to increase your training frequency and train harder – then this is a MUST for any serious athlete.
The recovery pump can be used as a warm-up before physical activity or after exercise as it delivers fresh blood and nutrients and removes toxins. Alternatively, the recovery pump can be used for rehabilitation as it aids repair, decreasing swelling and stiffness.
